REGISTER BLACK SPOTS ON THE NATIONAL BLACK SPOT DATABASE

Mobile Black Spot Program Round 4 (MBSP 4)

In June 2018, the then Minister for Regional Communications announced $25 million for the fourth round of the Mobile Black Spot Program.

In September 2018, the now Minister for Regional Services reopened the National Black Spot Database for state, territory, local governments and Federal MPs to nominate black spots in their areas. Here’s a link to the media release: https://www.minister.communications.gov.au/minister/bridget-mckenzie/news/call-nominate-mobile-phone-blackspots

Coverage is such an important issue for our region – so I would encourage you to nominate a black spot location if appropriate for any areas you work in.

As the database is not open to the public – could you please email Penny directly no later than October 19th if you have a blackspot to register on the database.

Unfortunately the Commonwealth’s online registration facility is not open to Chamber members, so all they need do is complete the attached template for coverage gaps in their area, email it to penny.griffin@dpird.wa.gov.au by 19 October 2018, and we’ll include them in the State’s submission.

By being on the database, there is more chance of funding being directed to fix it.

This half day workshop is designed to help you think and talk on your feet in situations that may arise unexpectedly, or without notice. The ability to think and speak on your feet is a tremendous asset to have in your social, business and daily life. Speaking off the cuff is often required in meetings, impromptu presentations, supervising staff, job interviews and when responding to questions from an audience. To successfully communicate your ideas in these situations you must be able to organise your thoughts quickly and present them in a clear and logical manner, that meets the audiences needs.
